The Salt Lake County Treasurer is responsible to:
- Efficiently collect property taxes levied by taxing authorities in Salt Lake County.
- Distribute the collected taxes to the taxing entities.
- Safeguard collected funds by minimizing risk while getting the highest possible investment returns within the bounds set by the Money Management Act.
- Administer the tax relief programs as outlined by the Utah State Legislature.
